Brief Bio:

Carolina Coto is an Internet OG, Brand Ambassador of Costa Rica, artist, and founder of OMBRUJA.COM, a digital collectibles creator and curator behind the Ethereum PFP “Sacred Avatars” and “CryptoBrujas”. She is a former VoIP and telecommunications consultant and served as Vice President of the Internet Society of New York from 2015 to 2017 during the launch of Ethereum. She is a fellow of the Internet Society and IGF by Google. She was the first model to showcase digital art during Art Basel in 2021 and has exhibited and spoken worldwide at NFT NYC, Blockchain Jungle, ChromaVerse Bogotá, and Miami Fashion Week. She actively supports the growth of Base as a Base Host and Panelist, hosting panels from Sotheby’s Metaverse in NYC, “The Future is Onchain,” and Doodles x Base during Art Basel in 2024. Her passion for well-being, the arts, and technology makes her a unique force in inspiring others to build with purpose.

Your Ethereum / web3 journey:

Carolina served as the VP of the Internet Society in New York from 2015 to 2017, supporting developers, operators, and the community during the launch of Ethereum. In 2021, she launched the first Ethereum PFP, “Sacred Avatars, with the purpose of expanding the presence of women in the healing arts within the Web3 community. This exclusive collection is rich in symbolism, mythology, and astrology. From 2022 to 2023, she was a Publisher on Nifty Gateway, where she launched the first Wheel of the Year”—an exclusive NFT collection released at every turn of the Wheel for over a year. With thousands of NFTs sold and a growing community of collectors, her work gained significant traction. She exhibited her Nifty Gateway pieces during Art Basel Miami in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, she launched CryptoBrujas, a generative collection integrating AI, photography, illustration, and animation. CryptoBrujas is a story of a Bruja “Witch” who explores the blockchain with her friends Freddy the Cat and Mr.Mushy. It was the first NFT collection to ever credit the subject in photography using metadata under the title of “Model.” She presented this case study at NFT NYC 2024 and became the first artist invited by NFT NYC to build the ONEHUB of CryptoBrujas—a platform designed to provide benefits and community engagement, launching in Q1 of 2025. In 2024, she launched Human Value, a collection of photographs exploring the intersection of AI and War in relation to the value of humans. Created in collaboration with Columbia University, the collection was exhibited in New York City in November 2024, with additional exhibitions planned for 2025.

This workshop is for all creators—because everyone is a creator, which means everyone is an artist. Art is a form of expression that constantly evolves as we push the boundaries of technology and consciousness. All “OMBRUJA” workshops begin with a mindful meditation, connecting the community through a grounding practice to share a common intention. These sessions are interactive, incorporating journaling, partner work, and group activities, including SEL*F (Social Emotional Learning Facilitation). Workshop Topics: 1. Identity: The rise of PFPs—how they build community and why they matter. 2. Provenance is Power: Ownership is guaranteed, not optional. 3. Build with Purpose: How to create an NFT collection that truly matters to you. 4. Creative Flow: how to unlock your creative spark and connect with community. We will explore the current state of the industry, covering marketplaces, protocols, creator apps, and tools to help you start creating right away. Topics include: – Onchain apps (Zora, Rodeo, Drakula, Farcaster) with a quick and easy onboarding process. – Marketplaces & Platforms (Nifty Gateway, OpenSea, ONEHUB) – No-code creation tools such as Bueno.Art. The most important takeaway from this workshop will be how to build with purpose and connect to your creative flow. To enhance this experience, we will include a breathing and grounding session to help you tap into your creativity.

Target Audience:

The target audience is 21+, promoting the participation of women and welcoming everyone from beginners to experts across all fields. A multidisciplinary approach is preferred, ensuring a diverse range of experts from various backgrounds.

Experience & Qualifications:

My experience includes creating significant digital art from 2021 to the present, successfully publishing and exhibiting worldwide. I have led workshops worldwide including producing the Wellness World Weekend in Costa Rica and in Station3 the Web3 HUB in New York City from 2023 to present. My education includes a background in Business Administration and Development & Economics from LSE, as well as certifications in: – Social Emotional Learning – Creating with Purpose from Stanford University – Yoga, Mindfulness, Pilates, Functional Training – Wellness Champion from Breathe for Change – NGL: Next Generation of Leaders by Google & Internet Society
